Celebrating 100 Weddings

Simply Enchanted Events has officially completed 100 weddings. Wow! I opened this small business 3 1/2 years ago and never in my wildest dreams did I imagine the success we would see! I always say being the owner of a small wedding planning business feels like a dream and it’s so true.

When I opened this business, I did it to pursue happiness. I wanted to grow my own unique brand that I was proud of and cater to couples that just love, love and all the beautiful things that come with having your big day.

To officially celebrate this huge accomplishment, I wanted to take a journey back to my top 10 weddings that I am the most proud of.

1. Nicole & Tyler - Runnymede Plantation - Charleston, SC

Of course, our very first destination wedding would be on this list! What can I say about Nicole and Tyler. They were an absolute dream to work with as they completely trusted me with all of their details. We started from scratch with just the idea in mind that we wanted to make it a destination wedding. We researched several different areas starting with Savannah, Georgia and then we came upon Runnymede Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina. It checked off all the boxes and the Pinterest board that Nicole & Tyler had in mind. We researched and found all 19 of their wedding vendors. It was truly an honor to plan out this wedding from scratch and then see it all come alive on their big day. Their wedding was breathtaking and everything we imagined plus more. 2. Madi & Rigo - The Acre Orlando

Madi and Rigo were another one of those couples that I’ll just never forget. They were so creative and fun to work with. They were another full planning couple that we worked with locally. Their wedding was held at The Acre Orlando and it was the most colorful, whimsical experience that I could’ve ever have hoped for. Every time we discussed the design work or any details, I was seriously so excited and just building off of their ideas with them. The vendor team that we pulled together was amazing and everything flowed so nicely. If I could go back to this day, I would!

3. Nicole & Tristan - Trump Doral

I had the pleasure of planning a family friend’s wedding over in Miami Florida. I went from being Nicole’s, and her brother Matthew, babysitter to wedding planner. It was so beautiful to watch Nicole be a bride and marry her prince charming, Tristan. She gave off major Princess Diaries vibes and it was just magical. Nicole and Tristan had a luxurious wedding at the Trump Doral. Everything was spectacular and memorizing. From the luscious arch full of white floral to the grand ballroom with floor to ceiling windows looking out to the golf course. It truly was a dream wedding! These two have been married for just about three years now and are expecting their first baby in the spring. So cute!

4. Danielle & Robbie - The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes

Danielle was another close friend of our families, so when she asked me to plan her wedding, I was so excited. Danielle and Robbie got married at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes and boy was it magical! Danielle and Robbie selected our Partial Planning Package, so I was able to help them find their vendor team and plan out their gorgeous design details. The gazebo at The Ritz was absolutely stunning for their ceremony. One moment I will never forget, was having Danielle and Robbie walk out to the dance floor with their eyes closed to finally see their reception space. The look on their faces was priceless when they spun around to see their ballroom space fully set with all the details we had been planning together. They have been married for just about a year now and it still feels like yesterday!

5. Liz & Lianne - Dora Queen

Liz and Lianne’s wedding definitely had to make the list just because of how unique it was and I absolutely adored them! These two hired me for Partial Planning as they were getting married on the Dora Queen over in Taveres Florida. The Dora Queen operates as a Day Cruise and they also host private events. Liz and Lianne knew this was the perfect spot for them to celebrate their marriage, but were unsure of the logistics and that’s when they found me! I had a blast getting to know them and to see this wedding come to life on the boat was a delight! It was such a perfect day and so special to see them have a wonderful time celebrating with their friends and family. It’s been two years since they said I Do on the Dora Queen!

6. Brooke & Justin – Margaritaville Orlando Resort

We loved Brooke & Justin! These two got married at Margaritaville Orlando Resort two years ago and their wedding was breathtaking. After 10 years of dating they tied the knot in March 2022 and there was not a dry eye. Between witnessing their first look where they read their vows to each other to watching Brooke walk down the aisle to a crying Justin, was just beautiful. These moments are why we do what we do! On top of the high emotions that day, their wedding was just stunning. It was very much on brand for Simply Enchanted Events with the tropical vibes from Margaritaville, but we also had a fun boho vibe added in. Bluegrass Chic created the most spectacular arch and floral pieces. It truly was an amazing day!

7. Valerie & Daniel | Glory & Adam - Sterling Event Venue

This summer wedding was so fun! We were hired on by the couple’s mom who was planning a joint wedding for her son and daughter. Valerie, her daughter, was engaged to Daniel and Adam, her son, was engaged to Glory. Due to such a large family and both of her kids getting engaged, the family decided to throw a joint wedding reception. Both couples had separate ceremonies, with Adam and Glory getting married at a church the day before and Valerie and Daniel getting married at Sterling Event Venue. When one couple were getting married, the other participated within their wedding party. After Valerie and Daniel officially tied the knot, Glory and Adam changed back into their suit and wedding dress and the fun began! It was double of everything – two couples, two cakes, two first dances… you get the picture. This was our very first wedding at the brand-new Sterling Event Venue and I couldn’t have asked for a better one. I am so grateful that this family trusted our team to plan out the details and will never forget them!

8. Anna & Brianna – Mission Resort

Anna and Brianna were such sweethearts! They hired me on for Full Planning with the intent to have a whimsical, colorful fall wedding. My heart was so happy when they found me as this is what Simply Enchanted Events is all about! It was such a pleasure getting to know these two and see them get married. We found their venue at Mission Resorts Marina Del Rey. When touring the property, they fell in love immediately and right on the dock they officially got engaged. It was truly a love story! We had some of the best vendors in town. Andie from The Flower Studio Oxford was so perfect for the vision that they had. Colorful floral and twinkle lights filled the pavilion at the Marina transforming the space. Watching them say I Do on the big grassy lawn with Lake Harris and Spanish moss trees as their backdrop was breathtaking.

9. Ashley & Chris - The White Room in St Augustine, FL

Traveling to St. Augustine for Ashley and Chris' wedding weekend was such an honor. The historic beauty of The White Room in St. Augustine was the perfect venue for these two. It sits in the heart of downtown and overlooks the bay, creating a picturesque backdrop for photos and dancing on their rooftop terrace. Ashley & Chris picked our Partial Planning Package being that it was a destination wedding. We helped them secure all of their vendors, design a mood board and create a budget to ensure wedding planning would be a breeze. Getting to know Ashley and Chris was so fun. They way Chris would look at Ashley and vice versa, you could just tell how completely in love they were. Wedding day at The White Room was perfect. Andie from The Flower Studio created the most beautiful ground floral arch that made their ceremony look incredible. We had to switch ceremony spaces from the rooftop terrace to the indoor chapel due to rain and it still was a gorgeous option for them. It's almost been a year since their wedding day and I am just still in love with how it turned out.

10. Kimberly & Rich - The most magical place on earth

Finally, number 10! Kimberly and Rich having their wedding at the most magical place on earth was definitely in my top 10 weddings. They had an intimate wedding experience with their closest family and friends and the entire day was one surprise to the next. They got married at the BoardWalk Resort's Sea Breeze point - a gorgeous gazebo overlooking the lake. Rich rolled up to ceremony in the Rolls Royce pictured below and it was the most epic entrance! They had a Mary Poppins themed wedding, so their colors were navy blue and blush pink. Their details at ceremony included a tea set with a spoonful of sugar all organized by the lovely Katherine Imundi from I Marry Couples. Their reception details included cherry blossom trees and colorful styled tea sets mixed with floral at each guest table. It truly was a site to see!
